Automatic Strainers

Used to remove dirt and other unwanted debris from pipeline fluid

0000

Straining is accomplished by the passing of the pipeline fluid through a wedge wire, perforated or mesh screen. During the cleaning cycle the backwash system isolates a small portion of the screen allowing both straining and cleaning to take place at the same time. Cleaning is accomplished by using a small portion of the fluid to carry the unwanted debris out the backwash line away from the strainer.

The IFC Automatic Strainer is installed where continuous removal of pipeline debris is required or where manual cleaning is not possible or unfeasible. Factors such as variable loading rates and remote installation locations make it the logical choice.

Features:

  • All internal components are lifted from the strainer body upon cover removal.
  • Reverse rolled wedge wire screen exhibits both high strength and optimal performance.
  • Low inertia tubular backwash assembly increases backwash efficiency and minimizes power requirements.
  • Correctly proportioned outer annulus decreases pressure drop.
  • Superior quality construction with corrosion resistant internals.
  • Zero-Bypass. The straining element has both an upper and lower seat.
  • Full port backwash line results in no flow restriction.
  • Composite bearing requires no maintenance.
  • Large inspection port allows for inspection and removal of settled debris.
  • Large bottom chamber slows fluid velocity prior to straining.
